Pumpkin Picking

While I love getting outside and picking pumpkins from a patch, I highly recommend Tom Leonard’s Farmers Market in Short Pump, VA for an easy pickup with just as great a selection! It is one of my favorite client traditions, to drop off white pumpkins at the recently purchased, or not-so-recently purchased homes that my clients have settled into.
 
If you are looking for a large pumpkin patch experience, try Lloyd Family Farms in Rockville, VA. Kids love the pony rides, the big hay castle, exploring the corn maze, or the hay ride to the pumpkin patch and back. Spend an hour on a tractor ride or looking at the horses, cows, and pigs. What better than picking out the perfect pumpkin? They offer Brunswick Stew, hamburgers, and hot dogs in the food tent.
 
You’ll be ready to start the fall out right, decorating your pumpkin with a scary face to rest on your front porch in time for Halloween, taking lots of pics, and having a wonderfully fun time for the family to wander on the farm. Happy Fall Y’all!
